Abstract
A new specimen of Zosterophyllum is described from the Lower Old Red Sandstone of Forfar, Scotland. It consists of a fructification, bifurcating at the base, and bearing two rows of sporangia on each branch. The sporangia are alternate and overlap the axis. The arrangement, shape and orientation of the sporangia are similar to those in Zosterophyllum fertile Leclercq, and the specimen is assigned to this species.
