Abstract
In developing countries like India, healthcare facilities are still not regulated properly throughout the country, and if available and well regulated, they are unaffordable to a huge section of society, which affects the overall health index of the country. Many remote villages do not have even primary healthcare infrastructure. Because India is such a large democracy—with an approximately 1.38 billion population—it is a complicated and tedious task to regulate and monitor all healthcare facilities throughout the country and gather data in a centralized manner. To come up with the solution, this chapter will show how the health of the county can be monitored remotely but effectively by the government using Internet of Thing s(IoT)-based healthcare kiosks. IoT has already penetrated deep into the medical and healthcare sector, now referred to by a new term, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). These kiosk healthcare systems have the potential to change the healthcare infrastructure of the country by making services accessible to the poorest, neglected, or remote sections of the country. On the advancement of this system, it could also be used to diagnose patient illnesses and offer basic solutions on the preliminary basis that we will discuss in detail in this chapter.
