Abstract

In this paper, the object-oriented method has been used to realize cluster-based parallel finite element analysis. Firstly, a new method used to build the computing cluster is introduced, then a OO parallel message passing library based on the detailed analysis of MPI/PVM is explained. Two different methods have been developed in this computing system to realize parallel FE analysis: one is the sub-structure method which has been extended by combing some parallel system equation solver; the other is the transfer of traditional parallel PCG method onto a cluster platform. The new data transfer method has been explained in detail. Some examples show the high efficiency of the new OO parallel FEA analysis kernel.
