Abstract

This paper provides a summary of the key issues emerging from a one year project jointly funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Academy for Sustainable communities (ASC) at the BRASS research centre on ‘Motivating, Engaging, Leading and Supporting Skills and Knowledge for Sustainable Communities- Applying Models of Sustainable Localised Economies”(RES-182-25-0012). A key aim of the research was to gain a better understanding of the role of skills, knowledge and learning for sustainable communities.
