Abstract

Management Consultancy provides a comprehensive introduction to the consulting industry, presenting a theoretical underpinning and outlining how to carry out management consultancy, as well as providing guidance on entering the industry. This insightful text equips students with the information and skills necessary to become a successful management consultant and enables them to gain a greater understanding of how the industry works, as well as the nature of the job itself. Students are encouraged to discuss and debate issues in order to develop critical analysis skills, and the inclusion of practitioner insights throughout the text ensures that there are ample opportunities for understanding how the theory may or may not transfer through to practice. The book is accompanied by an online resource centre providing additional resources for both students and lecturers. Features * Presents a theoretical underpinning and uses this as a basis for critical discussion, engaging students with both the theories of consulting and their limitations when related to the industry. * Features practitioner insights from industry professionals, allowing students to understand how the theory is applied in practice. * Provides practical guidance on the skills necessary for the role of a management consultant, and advice on entering the industry, ensuring that students have all the guidance they require in order to become a successful management consultant.
