Abstract

Health and Safety, the second in the Through the Legislation Maze series, highlights clearly and succinctly all the current health and safety legislation affecting architects in practice today. Health and safety is fundamental to both construction work and the workplace. Not only do architects have to design with health and safety in mind, they also have significant responsibilities towards the welfare of their employees and others in their places of work. 'Through the Legislation Maze: Health and Safety' brings these two facets of the extensive and frequently overlapping legislation together in one comprehensive but straightforward guide organised by RIBA Work Stages, serving as a one-stop reference for all architects and other construction professionals.
