Abstract

This paper represents an object oriented method to build the PC cluster to perform parallel finite element analysis.This method is to design all the components installed in cluster,including all software and hardware,into some kinds of classes,and use these classes to show the connectivity between different parts in a cluster,a complete class hierarchy map will be formed in the end. By this way,a systematic method can be made to analyze the whole building process which includes system analysis,whole structure design,communication between computing nodes and system tests.Examples show that this kind of method can make full use of kinds of advanced parallel and distributed computing tools nowadays,decrease the complexity to build a cluster for parallel FEA,and serve as a good base for the future grid computing.
