Abstract

Automated high throughput fluorescence microscopy is an invaluable tool for assessing large numbers of biological samples. Coherent Anti-stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) microscopy is a chemically sensitive imaging technique that is receiving increased interest within the field of cell biology. This article discusses if the concepts of high throughput microscopy can be applied to CARS in order to obtain chemical information from a large number of biological samples.
