Abstract

The magnetostriction of a magnetic strip steel can be measured while subjecting the sample to an external stress. There are many factors involved in ensuring this measuring technique is accurate and reproducible. This paper explains those negative factors and construction issues that have a direct influence on the magnetostriction value and methods of overcoming them.
