Abstract

Design Research Unit Wales (DRU-w) is a young, research-led practice combining award-winning design, teaching and research, based in the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff. This exhibition presents recent projects including Margam Discovery Centre outside Port Talbot, an Environmental Resource Centre located in a post-industrial landscape in Ebbw Vale, and Annedd, an integrated elderly care home in rural Carmarthenshire. The projects are illustrated by photographs, sketches, drawings and models demonstrating how research and sustainability are embedded into the way the practice works.
