Abstract

The opportunity for using simulation in medical training has expanded in recent years. 1‐3 Laparoscopic surgery is an area that is ideally suited to the use of simulators for the acquisition of clinical skills. 4 Simulation allows educators to have control over pre-selected scenarios, without distressing patients or encountering complications.
